
Dr. Jana Corbett (pronounced ‘Yanna’, uses she/her pronouns) is a psychologist licensed by the Oregon Board of Psychologists , the Washington State Department of Health, and an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I) certified by the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (formerly ACCBO)
Jana went to school in Germany, Ireland and the US and graduated from Freie Universitat Berlin with a Ph.D. in Psychology.
In her work as a therapist, she employs evidence- based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Somatic- and Mindfulness based approaches, as well as Motivational Interviewing, to address a variety of mental health and substance use issues, including but not limited to coping with life transitions, coping with grief, anxiety, and depression, substance use, difficulty regulating emotions, and difficulties with relationships and parenting.

Jana feels comfortable working with individuals, who engage in self-harm and are at high risk for suicide. She has a special interest in supporting clients develop the skills to effectively identify and communicate their emotions, needs and boundaries to others.
Jana provides bilingual English-German trauma-informed care and applies a social justice lens to her work. Her approach is body positive, sex positive, LGBTQ+ and poly competent.
Outside of her practice, she enjoys spending time with her kid, cooking, reading, and travel (Jana is an immigrant and visits family and friends in Germany annually). She volunteers at her kid’s school, the Oregon Humane Society, Baby Blues Connection and supports new parents as a La Leche League Leader.
