I know what that feels like and I can help you develop the skills to effectively cope and regulate your emotions and help you identify and communicate your emotions, needs and boundaries to others so you can be heard and get your needs met.

I’m a psychologist and certified alcohol and drug counselor located in NW Portland, Oregon. I aim to create a safe space for individuals to learn and grow, and provide bilingual telemental health to individuals located in Oregon and Washington, as well as in person services when that is appropriate.

I have been in practice for seven years.
My approach to therapy is client centered (that means you determine what we talk about), validating and skills-based. Therapy with me is relational, non-judgmental, body positive, sex positive and LGBTQ+ and poly competent.

I believe that we are all doing the best we can with the information and skills we have. I also believe that we can grow and create better lives for ourselves with the appropriate support.

I’m a white, cis, straight, able- bodied woman and acknowledge all the priviledges that come with this. I am also a single mother and see parenting as a political act. I’m an immigrant with strong progressive values. I am fat and believe in health at every size. And I have anxiety, and know both the struggle and what it’s like to manage anxiety well.

If this sounds like a good fit, please reach out to me.

Warm wishes,

Jana Corbett, Ph.D.
